Munich 1905: Curt Prank's (Mišel Matičević) ambitious goals, the construction of a gigantic beer castle at the Oktoberfest in 1900 and the merger with the Hoflinger family's Deibel Bräu, have been realised. After four successful years, Prank's daughter Clara (Mercedes Müller) and Roman Hoflinger (Klaus Steinbacher) are now also established in the ranks of Munich's major brewers. Meanwhile, Clara's friend Colina Kandl (Brigitte Hobmeier) is serving a prison sentence following her joint murder. Despite all the blows of fate, Colina finds her way back into a new, self-determined life as a singer in the Deutsche Eiche pub after her release. There she gets to know the landlady Nappi (Lisa Maria Potthoff) and love. While Maria Hoflinger (Martina Gedeck) is still locked away in a psychiatric ward, the relentless competition between her son Roman and his father-in-law Prank continues: the hatred in the family escalates. Not only are they in danger of losing their beer castle at the Oktoberfest to the inscrutable competitor Adam Mertz (Rainer Bock), but Roman and Clara's marriage and love are also at stake ... "Oktoberfest 1905" was directed by Stephan Lacant from a screenplay by head writer Ronny Schalk. Other writers were Dani Merkel, Benjamin Seiler and Dirk Eisfeld.

‘Oktoberfest 1905’ (BR/ARD/Degeto/MDR) was awarded the Bernd Burgemeister Television Prize at the 42nd FILMFEST MÜNCHEN on 29 June 2025 and can be seen in autumn 2025 in the ARD Mediathek and on ‘Das Erste’.
