An arson attack on the Jewish cultural centre shocks Zurich. Student Judith Stein (Leonille Wittgenstein) dies, and hate graffiti points to an anti-Semitic attack. Much to Borchert's (Christian Kohlund) displeasure, law firm boss Dominique (Ina Paule Klink) takes on the case of the only suspect, 17-year-old swastika sprayer Bruno Zumthor (Casper von Bülow). His mother (Barbara Sotelsek), a respected businesswoman, insists on her son's innocence. Borchert struggles with his legal principles in the case of the young right-wing extremist, but nevertheless sets out to find the truth. Through Rabbi Rivka Lehmann (Hannah Ley), Borchert meets the main sponsor of the cultural institution, Marius Fontana (André Szymanski). Soon Judith's grandmother (Lena Rothstein) arrives from Tel Aviv, the only member of the family to have survived the Holocaust. Borchert feels a particular obligation to her to solve the crime. The clues lead not only to the right-wing scene, but also to an old secret that sealed Judith's fate. (ARD)
